The vacuum is part of Makita's expanding 18V LXT® system, the world's largest cordless tool system powered by 18V Lithium-Ion batteries. Makita® 18V Lithium-Ion batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, allowing for more working time and less time spent on the charger.
The Makita-built motor delivers up to 53 CFM, providing powerful suction for effective cleaning. The vacuum and included nozzle and attachment feature the distinctive Teal and black trade dress, adding to its visual appeal.
For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star protection Computer controls™. This communication technology allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real-time, monitoring conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging, and overheating.
The vacuum can be powered by Makita® 18V LXT® and compact Lithium-Ion batteries with the Star symbol on the battery, indicating Star protection inside. This increased versatility allows users to choose the battery that best suits their needs.

The push button 3-speed power selection (high/medium/low) enables efficient operation, with up to 33 minutes of continuous use in low speed from a single fully charged 18V compact 2.0Ah LXT battery. The optional 5.0Ah battery delivers up to 83 minutes of continuous use.
