The Makita 18V X2 LXT Lithium-Ion (36V) Brushless Cordless 1.6 Gallon HEPA Filter Backpack Dry Vacuum (XCV17Z) is a powerful and portable clean-up solution that eliminates the extension cords often needed for corded backpack vacuums. Ideal for cleaning crews and construction applications as part of a dust extraction system, the XCV17Z is powered by two 18V Lithium-Ion batteries (sold separately) for 36V power and performance, without leaving the 18V LXT battery platform.

Equipped with an efficient BL Brushless Motor, the XCV17Z generates 78 CFM of suction and 44" of static water lift, enabling fast clean-ups and improved dust extraction without the hassle of a cord. Weighing only 15 lbs. (with an empty dust bag and two 18V 5.0Ah batteries, batteries sold separately), the vacuum features padded shoulder straps and a waist belt with multiple adjustments for a comfortable fit.

Cordless and compact, the push-button power selection controller attaches to the waist belt of the harness for convenient operation. The efficient HEPA filter combined with the filter bag captures large, small and micro dust particulates, while the half-gallon dust collection container is easily removed for dust disposal.

When using two 18V 5.0Ah batteries, users can expect up to 140 minutes of continuous operation on the low setting and 40 minutes on the high setting. As part of Makita's 18V LXT System, the world's largest cordless tool system powered by 18V lithium-ion slide-style batteries, the XCV17Z benefits from Makita's fast charge times, ensuring more time working and less time on the charger.

Makita's Star Protection Computer Controls further enhance the tool's performance and battery life. This communication technology allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time, monitoring conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging and overheating.

For increased versatility, the XCV17Z can be powered by Makita 18V LXT and Compact Lithium-Ion batteries with the star symbol on the battery, indicating the presence of Star Protection technology.

The powerful BL Brushless Motor generates an impressive 78 CFM of suction power and 44" of water lift, delivering exceptional cleaning performance. Users can enjoy up to 139 minutes of continuous run time on the normal setting and 40 minutes on the max setting when using two 18V LXT 6.0Ah batteries BL1860B (batteries not included).

Furthermore, the efficient two-stage HEPA filter captures 99.97% of particulates 0.3 microns and larger, extending the life of the main filter. The BL Brushless Motor's elimination of carbon brushes enables it to run cooler and more efficiently for longer life, while the easily accessible side-loading batteries add to the overall convenience of the XCV17Z.
