Makita XCV18ZX 18V X2 Brushless Cordless HEPA Backpack Dust Extractor

The Makita XCV18ZX is a 1.6-gallon backpack dry dust extractor powered by two 18V lithium-ion batteries. It offers the convenience of cordless operation without sacrificing power and performance. With a BL brushless motor, it generates 64 CFM of suction power and 44" of water lift, making it an efficient solution for dust extraction.

This portable and lightweight dust extractor weighs 15 lbs. and comes with padded shoulder straps and a waist belt for comfortable wear. The push-button power selection controller attaches to the waist belt for convenient operation. It also features an efficient HEPA filter and filter bag that captures large, small, and micro dust particulates. The dust collection container is easily removable for dust disposal.

The XCV18ZX is designed for construction applications and can be used as part of a dust extraction system. It eliminates the need for extension cords that trail corded backpack vacuums, providing a more convenient clean-up solution. It also bridges the gap between low-capacity on-board dust extraction systems and larger capacity wheeled canister job site vacuums, offering a powerful and portable option for contractors.

With two 18V 5.0Ah batteries (sold separately), users can enjoy up to 62 minutes of continuous operation on the low setting and 33 minutes on the high setting. The XCV18ZX is part of Makita's expanding 18V LXT System, which is the world's largest cordless tool system powered by 18V lithium-ion batteries.

For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita has incorporated Star Protection Computer Controls into their batteries. This communication technology allows the tool and battery to exchange data in real-time, monitoring conditions during use and protecting against overloading, over-discharging, and overheating. The XCV18ZX is also compatible with Makita 18V LXT and Compact Lithium-Ion batteries with the star symbol, indicating Star Protection inside.

To enhance its versatility, the XCV18ZX is AWS capable with the addition of the Auto-Start Wireless Transmitter (part no. 198901-5, sold separately). This utilizes Bluetooth technology for wireless power-on/off communication between the tool and dust extractor. It further improves convenience and efficiency during operation.
