Makita 18V LXT® Cordless Combo Kit (5.0Ah)

The 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Brushless 2-Piece Combo Kit (XT288T) combines two high-quality brushless tools specifically designed for drilling, driving, and fastening tasks. Included in this kit are two quick-charging 18V LXT® 5.0Ah batteries, which are fully compatible with the entire range of Makita LXT® tools and products.

Among the tools featured is the 18V LXT® Brushless 4-Speed Impact Driver (XDT19). This impact driver provides four different power settings (0-1,100 / 0-2,100 / 0-3,200 / 0-3,600 RPM & 0-1,100 / 0-2,600 / 0-3,600 / 0-3,800 IPM), allowing for precise fastening control across a broad spectrum of applications. One of its standout features is the Assist Mode (A-mode), which helps to minimize "screw cam-out" and "cross threading" by initially driving at a lower speed before engagement occurs. Additionally, two Tightening Modes (T-mode) enhance efficiency by enabling quicker tightening of self-drilling screws in both thick and thin metal, protecting the screw and workpiece from damage. The XDT19 boasts an ergonomic design which contributes to its compact build, delivering industry-leading performance. Features such as a one-touch 4-speed power selector button located under the chuck allow for easy one-handed adjustments of speed, while the reverse rotation auto-stop mode ensures the tool stops rotating and impacting once the fastener is sufficiently loosened—thereby reducing the risks of over-loosening and dropped fasteners.

The kit also includes the 18V LXT® Brushless Variable 2-Speed Hammer Driver-Drill (XPH14), a powerful tool that enhances runtime for drilling, driving, and fastening tasks in various materials including wood, metal, and masonry. This hammer driver-drill delivers a maximum speed of 2,100 RPM and an impressive torque of 1,250 in.lbs., all while being lightweight at just 6.0 lbs. with a battery. Its updated design is compact, measuring up to 14% shorter than previous models, and is powered by a Makita brushless motor that contributes to a longer runtime, increased power, and enhanced tool longevity. The 2-speed transmission (0-550 & 0-2,100 RPM) provides versatility for various applications. Additional features include an all-metal ½” self-ratcheting chuck for improved bit-gripping strength, built-in LED lights for better visibility, and a rubberized grip for enhanced comfort during use.

Both tools utilize the efficient Makita-built brushless motor, which is designed for longer runtimes, added power, and extended tool life. The Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™) enhances dust and water resistance, making them suitable for use in demanding environments.
